Evaluate the Sessions!

Don't forget to evaluate the sessions that you attend. It is greatly appreciated by both the presenters and the conference staff!

Join us for a Code Sprint & Unconference following FOSS4G NA

Following the conference, we hope you will join us for a FOSS4G NA Code Sprint and Unconference hosted by Red Hat in their Raleigh Offices. This is a great opportunity to work on active open source geospatial projects and collaborate with other developers in the field. “Code sprints” are an opportunity for an otherwise distributed team to get together in the same place and tackle larger problems that benefit from having all team members together in the same room.

Q&A with the Community Chair - Sarah Cordivano

Learn what the community chair has to say about the conference!

1. What do you like most about your role as Community Chair?

I love the opportunity to think creatively about ways to bring attendees together beyond the conference sessions. A great conference is more than just a collection of presentations. We wanted to make sure there’s a lot of opportunity to connect and chat with other folks.

Update regarding our response to North Carolina's HB2

Dear FOSS4G NA attendees and FOSS4G Community,

We would like to update you on progress related to our response to North Carolina's narrow-minded HB2 legislation. Please see our earlier March 24th response here.

As we shared shortly after HB2 was passed, it was too late to relocate and/or cancel the conference. We are very grateful to the good people who recognized that boycotting FOSS4G NA hurts a very inclusive conference and community. The fact you are coming means a great deal, and we do not take it for granted. Thank you!
